LGBTQ
Community Outreach
In response to the consistent feedback we received from LGBTQ residents of every region of the Cape that they did not know how to find or connect with other LGBTQ people outside of their immediate group of friends, Cape Cod PRIDE is developing Regional LGBTQ Community Outreach Groups.
The goal of these groups is to make it easier for LGBTQ residents and visitors of Cape Cod to find and connect with each other. Three groups are beginning to meet the specific needs of the Upper Cape; Mid-Cape; and Lower/Outer Cape LGBTQ Communities. The Upper Cape LGBTQ Outreach group is currently holding planning meetings once per month (Second Tuesdays) and social gatherings (First and Third Wednesdays), with plans for a Family Bowling Gathering. Other ideas include a dance, educational/discussion programs; and identifying local LGBTQ-owned and/or LGBTQ-friendly businesses. The LGBTQ Outreach groups for the Mid-Cape and Lower/Outer Cape are starting up.
