Since the mid-1980’s, Sue Wilson has served on the boards of Am Tikva, Massachusetts Political Caucus, MA Lesbian & Gay Bar Association, Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders (GLAD), and Greater Boston PFLAG. She also founded the annual Lesbian and Friends Dance Benefits for MA Breast Cancer Coalition, which recently celebrated its 20th year.
Sue moved to the Cape in 2016, and attended Cape Cod PRIDE that June. She then joined the committee to help plan Cape Cod PRIDE 2017, and helped incorporate Cape Cod PRIDE, Inc. later in the year.
As President of Cape Cod PRIDE, Sue aspires to not only help develop Cape Cod PRIDE as an organization, and produce an annual June PRIDE event on the Cape, but also to promote LGBTQ community development all year throughout the Cape.
Attorney Sue Wilson has represented members of the LGBTQ community for over 30 years as a nurse-attorney, specializing in personal injury and patients’ rights law, and has offices in Mashpee and Brookline. Sue lives in Mashpee with her spouse, Laura Kanter, and their Golden Retriever, Bella Bear. They have a daughter, Lainey. In her free time, Sue enjoys sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, tennis, riding the Cape’s bicycle paths, and photography.

Bob Isadore

Bob has been a longtime active advocate for the LGBTQ community, lobbying legislators for same gender marriage equality, and transgender equality. He is Past President of the Cape & Islands Democratic Council, and was the first openly gay president in their history. Bob was re-elected President for 6 terms. He is now the current Chair of the Yarmouth Democratic Town Committee, and is also the town of Yarmouth representative to the Barnstable County Human Rights Commission.
Before moving to Cape Cod with his long time parter (now spouse) David Bermudez, Bob had a 12 year career in banking in California. Prior to that Bob was employed for 10 years in New York as an assistant buyer at Saks Fifth Avenue. He is also a disabled U.S. Army veteran.
Bob believes change can be made through education. He enjoys working with many groups such as councils on aging, human right groups and high school gay /straight alliances. He advocates working together through understanding dialog, and respect.

Amy Mesirow, MBA

Amy moved to Cape Cod in 2001 with her husband and two children. When her son came out as gay at the age of 15, Amy joined PFLAG of Cape Cod. A year later, Amy became President of the Cape Cod PFLAG chapter, and served in this role for 7 years. Charles is currently retired and living in Falmouth. He had an extensive career in banking for 18 years followed by 23 years of teaching in higher education institutions in New York City.
Since retiring and moving to Falmouth over 7 years ago, Charles has volunteered his time at the food pantry of the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod and mentoring elementary school students. Charles joined the planning committee of Cape Cod Pride in 2015. He was recently appointed to the Cape Cod Pride Board of Directors as Clerk and is working with the planning committee for an expanded celebration event for June 2018.
Charles is also a member of the Falmouth Gay Men’s Social Group and a former member of LGBT Elders of Color. He is a proud father and grandfather of two adult grandchildren and is living happily with his loving husband Paul Glass.

Jeanine is involved with PFLAG of Cape Cod and No Place for Hate - Falmouth. Providing love and support to all members of the LGBTQ community is the reason she got involved with Cape Cod Pride.

In 1999 Denise and her husband Lee moved to Cape Cod with their two daughters. Their oldest daughter Michelle who is 28, came out as lesbian in high school. Four years ago at the age of 19 their younger daughter Rachel told them she was transgender. She transitioned during the last three years from female to male, and now named Russell, is so much happier. After Russell came out, Denise attended the PFLAG Parents of Transgender Youth support group and enjoyed the welcoming support she was given. Several months after attending the support group, she joined the PFLAG Board. In January of 2017, Denise took on the responsibility as President of PFLAG of Cape Cod.
Denise organized the raffle for Cape Cod Pride 2017, and was on the planning committee for the Cape's Transgender Day of Remembrance in 2017 and 2018. She also serves on the Lakewood Hills Property Association Board. Denise is a practicing Buddhist and a leader in her organization, which is dedicated to respecting the dignity and equality of human life.
Denise worked in Administration for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, in the Travel Department for the Army Corp of Engineers, and as a Travel Agent.

After obtaining his degree from SUNY- College of Environmental Science and Forestry, Syracuse NY, Jim pursued a research career with labs in St. Louis, Durham NC, and Chicago before starting his career with Carl Zeiss Microscopy LLC. He has held various positions with Zeiss over the past 19 years , and is currently Sr Application and Product Support specialist embedded at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole.
In his many relocations, Jim was active in the local UCC congregations and held leadership positions in both Syracuse, NY and Chicago Heights, IL. He is a member of the Falmouth Gay Men’s Social group, Boston Gay Professionals, and Cape Cod Gay Men’s Social group.
Jim is the proud dad of three sons, and a grandpa of two wonderful granddaughters. He moved to the Boston area in 2005, and has been a resident of Falmouth since 2012.
Jim joined the Cape Cod Pride committee after attending the last two Cape Cod Pride events. He is excited to be working with the organization to help expand the Upper Cape LGTBQ network for all.
